+30 minutes of strength based movement with Liv

+30 minutes of yoga flow with Alex

+1 hour of acupuncture with Dr. Madi

The three of us LOVE movement & we all know that movement heals! This is a Sunday afternoon of calm & has been created to let you feel some peaceful energy! Just show up as you are, where you are & we will guide you through a relaxing event- you might not want to leave! 

If you have never been to the Fuller Dome on SIUE campus you will be awestruck- it is incredbile & the energy inside is unmatched. As you lay on your backs you can look up & see out of the dome while also staring up at the world map that is to scale! 

Who is Alex? She is a yoga instructor! We met after a pop-up in December of 2021-she saw people with yoga mats walking out of a local business & was curious! We met that day & decided to colloborate in the future! Fast forward & we are so excited to host this event together. She will guide you through a slow flow yoga practice that will transition into a restful & restorative meditation to prepare the mind & body for acupuncture. You will be aided by props, so if you have a bolster or blocks you like to practice restorative yoga with please bring them!

Who is Dr. Madi? She is a chiropractor! She mentioned several months back, that a collaboration to offer acupuncture, after I led a movement session, to help more people understand what acupuncture is, would be something great we could offer the community! Acupuncture is an ancient practice of balancing life energy. Sometimes the energy that flows through the body becomes stagnant & needs help being moved in the right direction. The insertion of very small needles in certain points is thought to help stimulate the flow of life energy, as well as to act as a natural pain modulator. The needles stay in 25-30 minutes, during which time the patient is requested to sit quietly without distraction. As the needles come out Dr. Madi will then perform a few minutes of cranial work to remove restrictions that may be creating nervous system interference. These techniques combined will encourage your body to enter a more restorative state. Benefits of acupuncture include: better sleep, more focus, less anxiety, less pain, & an overall sense of well being. [Those taking blood thinners should not participate in acupuncture but are welcome to join for the meditative portion & cranial work.]

The three of us have found our way to eachother so that we can help you all move functionally, feel restored with energy & we cannot wait to share all three of our practices with you!

This is for all ages [18 & up], all genders + all fitness levels! 

All you need to do the day of the event is show up 5 minutes early with your workout mat- please don't forget! There is a parking lot next to the dome [parking is free on Sundays], then you will see a sidewalk that leads you down to the dome. You might be better directed with google maps & typing in Center For Spirituality & Sustainability. 

ANY CLIENTS PURCHASING & PARTICIPATING IN A LIVFITISH POP-UP CLASS MUST AGREE TO ALL POLICIES & SIGN THE LIVFITISH LIABILITY WAIVER. You will be asked to sign waivers the day of the event upon arival.
